भावना की भावनाएं

It's very natural for girls to get mood swings during periods. Like any other girl, I have thrown my fair share of tantrums. My younger brother was one person who couldn't understand the reason behind my tantrums and sudden mood swings. My parents gave me extra care which put him into more dilemma. Thanks to our society and wonderful education system, periods are not something that is discussed very openly.  But my parents are exceptional.  They have been very vocal about it, they explained it to my brother. And ever since then, he has been the most supportive and caring person. He keeps checking up on me and reminds me about my cycle.  It is the 21st century, and we are moving towards a better future. It wouldn't hurt a fly if you check up on your mother or sister or friends once in a while. Just ask them how they are doing (only if they're comfortable to talk about it), trust me it would mean the world to them.  We won't mind some ice cream and chocolates too :)

 I was so glad that this book ended.  Naked truth - I did not like it. *spoilers ahead* As you all know, I've been trying for a long time to start experimenting with new genres and this book was it. I took 2 days to finish this book, no it was not because it was that exciting but  I so badly wanted it to end. From a neutral point of view, I would say it's a decent read, the diary entries got a little boring but that part contributes to Lily's character development. The only part that I liked in this book is Lily not being a spineless fool and leaving Ryle. What would be the difference between her and her mother(whom she resented for most of her life) if she hadn't left Ryle?  Personally, I feel like Lily should've been showcased as a strong, independent woman towards the end instead of ending up with Atlas(the homeless kid whom her teenage self fell in love with, who is apparently wealthy now). Be it early in the morning or late at night, when you're alone or  when you feel nothing is right, listen to Raafi sahab's songs. If you know who he is then pat yourself on the back cause you've already won in life. What more do you want? Mohammad Rafi who's fondly called Rafi Sahab, is one of the greatest singer ever to be born. God wanted to do us a favour and Rafi Sahab was born.  From chaudvin ka chand ho to na to karwaan ki talash hai, every song of his is a masterpiece. Even legendary singers like Yesudas and SPB, were inspired by and were fans of Mohammed Rafi. His voice can make you feel things, it engulfs you in a warm hug, gives you comfort and soothes your soul. You  need not necessarily be a romantic or a person from the 60s to enjoy these songs. The evening sky was lovely, the birds were chirping and cold breeze was blowing.  I had gone out for a walk.  I came across a little girl who was taking a stroll with her mom. Note: This is completely based on my personal opinion after reading the book twice and watching the movie thrice.  Owing to the drastic end of creativity in the 21st century, many directors, screen writers who wanted to proclaim their uniqueness in having a good story have found comfort in the arms of books. Be it be classics or crime thrillers or autobiographies' books have come to their rescue. Recently I've read a classic called 'PRIDE AND PREJUDICE' by Jane Austen. The romance ,the witty banter, the high society....it has it all. This book is highly treasured by the society although it is not relatable to everyone in this century(but those looking for something different ,do give it a read!!), it does do justice in explaining lives in Austin's times.  Now let's talk about the movie which was made based on this novel.
